董灏：我们发现在过去10年的实践中，工作室项目的转变也体现了中国城市化发展的迅速转变。一开始的5~6年，我们接触了很多新建项目，这在某种水平上是体现了中国高速城市化发展的一种现象。在过去的这5~6年里，我们接触了很多改造类项目，这其实某种水平上说明，在过去高速发展的过程中，有很多建筑单体的设计、单体与城市的关系并没有经过仔细的思考，随着人们对高品质生活有更多需求，这些空间都需要再去改造。结合这次新冠疫情，我们发现人们对于公共空间以及私有空间的要求和期望越来越高：希望私有空间，好比说工作、居家空间更灵活，同时我们又不成以回避人类特有的社交需求，需要高品质的公共空间，尤其是今天城市的公共空间，所以在我们现在发生的和未来更多的改造项目中，提升公共空间的品质，满足私有空间多样化的需求是我们建筑师应该考虑的一个方向。
Binke Lenhardt: Maybe we talk a little bit about the pandemic situation, which we're in right now. So if you consider what that means for us, as people living in cities, we probably noticed all of us that our home in this time became much more precious, but we also really appreciated going outside and being close to nature since we were not able to travel so much as we used to. So, this made us probably become more aware of the fact that nature is something very valuable, and it is something we should really have close to our homes. So, we think it is very important to bring this nature aspect and combined with public space into the cities and also into the buildings. And when we do conversions, that's one of the points which we focus on very much, because we believe that nature and community spaces, public spaces enrich the communities and also make them become more healthy and resilient for future needs. □
